Born and raised into a family of builders on the Pacific Coast of Australia, Carn grew up with a trowel and hammer in his hands! During his Cert III apprenticeship in Bricklaying & Blocklaying he competed at the ‘World Skills’ competition for top level tradespeople and was awarded a reputable silver medal. Carn then studied a BSc (Hons) in Construction Management at the University of Newcastle Australia, and went on to found his own construction company in 2019 building luxury residential property in New South Wales, before relocating to the UK in 2022. Now 15 years in the construction industry, Carn brings enormous skill, huge creativity and an eagle-eye for detail to his array of building projects. As a main contractor overseeing projects from start to finish onsite, often alongside architects and engineers, he has built a solid team of highly skilled tradespeople to ensure the finished projects of Arcus Building meet and exceed the clients expectations.

Sheona works alongside Carn to oversee design & operations from the Arcus office. An organisation whizz, she is the "make it happen" behind all of the creative ideas at Arcus and ensures each project runs smoothly and to-schedule. With a degree in Ecology, Sheona has an interest in sustainability and sustainable construction practices which are increasingly being integrated as much as possible into our projects. 

Together, our goal is to build unique and inspiring projects which are long-lasting for generations to enjoy.  

Outside of work, Carn and Sheona reside in the beautiful New Forest National Park and enjoy travelling the world together - their source of inspiration for Arcus projects!
